The architectural work of Josh's came about from a school assignment. The flat forms of buildings proved satisfying to render in washes of watercolor. Practicing that style of rendering lead to a whimsical but representative style. Pieces have been commissioned of family houses to serve as reminders of the places people have made into homes. Each house holds more stories than any one person can ever live and each has a personality that the artist tries to capture through light, color and personal touches like a special plant or house pet in a window.
